Tom Bonington

Tom has worked extensively in film and television since leaving his former career as an electronic engineer.


Screen credits include; Demian in 'Young Wallander' Series 2 (Yellow Bird, 2021), Mike Fowler in 'The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe' (ITV, 2021), Kavita and Teresa' (Zariya Foundation, 2021), playing Cardinal Griffin in ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ (2019) alongside Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning. 2018 saw Tom star in ‘The Appointment’ written and directed by visual artist Alexandre Singh and ‘They Wait For Us’ directed by Lukas Schrank. Other film credits include lead roles in; 'Brief Intermission', 'The Confusion of Tongues' (Grand Independent), 'David and Goliath' (RiverRain Productions) and the short film 'Mano a Mono' (From the 3rd Story Productions), where Tom won Best Actor at the North Wales International Film Festival 2016.


Television credits include; 'EastEnders' (BBC), 'Alan Carr's New Year Spectacular' (Channel 4) and 'Jack the Ripper: The Definitive Story' (Channel 5).


Tom’s theatre credits include the comedy 'How Does That Make You Feel' at The Lion & Unicorn Theatre. Tom has also featured in numerous UK and worldwide campaigns, including; Anchor, Freesat, BT, Paddy Power, Vimto, Plenty and KFC.
