Lekhani is of mixed-heritage (Malawian and English) and grew up in Kendal, Cumbria. She is based in London and trained at Identity School of Acting.
Her first professional role was in Bola Agbaje's 'Papa Don't Preach' in London's West End (2018). Screen credits include; Gbemisola Ikumelo's comedy pilot 'Brain in Gear' (BBC, 2019) and 'Doctors' (BBC, 2019). Short films include; ‘Hoodies of Boyfriends Past’ (UniDays, 2018) and ‘I’ve Always Wanted to Work in an Office’ (Minty Fresh Productions, 2017).
Lekhani is also a writer, currently on Soho Writers Lab and has recently completed WoLaboratory's actor-writer course. Her first writing credit was for her one-woman show ‘Can I Touch Your Hair?’ which debuted for a sold out run at VAULT Festival (2019).
